Zarzecze The Palace-Park Complex of the Dzieduszycki Family
The palace-park ensemble of Zarzecze was designed by countess Magdalena Morska nee Dzieduszycka with architectural participation of Christian Piotr Aigner. The author of rich stucco works was Fryderyk Bauman, engaged in rebuilding of the Castle of Łańcut or the Palace of Przeworsk. The classical palace consists of an unshapely form with a rotunda in the corner, housing a ballroom. The complex includes also a greenhouse and a byre, 1820; a late 19th century outbuilding and a romantic landscape park c.1820 with many exemplars of fine trees. Moreover, countess Morska planned farm buildings as well as farmers’ cottage, being patterned on Dutch buildings. Nowadays, the municipality utilizes the palace and municipal culture institutions.
Near the residence, a Neo-Romanesque parish church was built in the years 1880–1895 with a free-standing bell tower. Over the main gate to the church a glass-mosaic, displaying the church patron St.Michael the Archangel, founded by the Dzieduszycki family.
