The Blessed Virgin Mary Church
and Monastery of Dominicans
The church was erected in the years 1719–1749 according to the project of Giovanni Spazzio, c.1754 a monastery wing was added. In 1778, the invasive Austrian authority disbanded the monastery and the church was passed to the parish. Noteworthy is a family crypt of the Czartoryskis situated in the church’s basement. Twenty-two members of the ducal family were buried here. Up to this day, in the crypt subtle sepulchar wreaths were kept, deriving from Viennese and Paris manufactories made of delicate beads, glass, porcelain, metal paper flakes and wire. The wreaths collection for some years was exhibited in the Palace, presently displayed at the Museum of Jarosław.
