The Narrow Gauge Railway Przeworsk–Dynów

A 100-year old the narrow gauge railway was constructed to ensure a convenient transport of sugar-beets to the sugar factory in Przeworsk. Throughout the years it was also an important means of communication for people living near the railway rout. Presently, it is one of the tourist attractions of the region. The length of the rout is 46 km. The train leaves the Przeworsk Waski Station and leads through Urzejowice, Krzeczowice, Kańczuga, Łopuszka Wielka, Manasterz, Zagórze, Hadle Szklarskie, Jawornik Polski, Szklary, Bachórz and finally reaches Dynów. Its unique attraction is the longest in Europe narrow gauge railway tunnel (602m) that goes through the Szklarka Mountain. In summer, from May till September on weekends runs a tourist train “Pogdgórzanin”. Despite of nice drive, at Przeworsk and Dynów one can see the historical rolling stock and the station buildings.
