Stará Ľubovňa and surroundings

Saint Anna´s Chapel

In the cemetery behind the town, on the way to Stará Ľubovňa is a small chapel whose oldest part (the Roman horse-shoe shaped apse) comes from the mid-13th century. In the early 14th century they added an octagonal nave. On the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries they enlarged it by adding a new oblong nave. The Roman apse is the oldest preserved architecture within the area of Podolínec.
