Burghers´ houses

The recent town´s build-up area (streets plan) was being formed in the 17th and 18th centuries. In essence it has coresponded by its area to the medieval one. It contains houses with „dufart“ i.e. passages, typical for the Scepus region at that time. The house No. 229 from the first third of the 18th century is worthy of notice because of its facade´s decoration. The mural paintings represent the Holy Family and the Baptism of Christ. In the facade´s aedicula of the house No 114 from 1773 is the statue of the Saint Florian.
